⚽️ Will Another Prem Manager Be Sacked this Weekend?
What a Round of Champions League Games...

What a weekend/week of football! Incredible scenes. This could go down as one of the best CL Group Stages ever. Fun fact - Real Madrid are the only La Liga team left in the Champions League this season.

ICYMI (In Case You Missed It):

You can pull as many levers as you want...but if you don't show up in the games that matter, you'll find yourself in the Europa League. As tough as the Barcelona group was, being eliminated of their CL group with 2 games to go will go down as one of the bigger embarrassments in recent history. Oh and a fun fact for you - Messi played at Barcelona for 17 seasons, and never played in the EL. He's been gone for two seasons and yep, you guessed it... 2 seasons of Europa League for Barcelona Football Club.
Speaking of the Europa League, CR7 came back into the United squad after his disciplinary action, and scored a goal as Man U showed they are still the Sheriffs of Old Trafford (even though they sit 2nd in their EL group).

Speaking of La Liga teams that didn't make it out of the Champions League group stage... Yannick Carrasco missed a last gasp penalty that would've kept Atléti's hopes of progressing into the knockout rounds alive. Instead, Atletico Madrid find themselves eliminated at the hands of the group's worst team, Bayer Leverkusen. Tough scenes.
Quiz Of The Week
How many times have Spurs won the Champions League? Haha kidding. We all know this is 0.
To get you in the mood for the World Cup...Which country as scored the most goals in the World Cup? Bonus point if you guess the number of goals by a margin of 10.

The Emotional Dugout Battle: Klopp vs Marsch

Saturday –– 2:45 PM ET
Liverpool (-360) vs Leeds United (+850)

The bookies really don't believe in a Leeds win... and neither do we. The reason why we like this game is because there's a few storylines that could come out of this. Liverpool have underwhelmed this season, and are plagued with injuries right now. Leeds have also underwhelmed and manager Jesse Marsch comes into this game under immense pressure. The bookies have him as the most likely next manager to be sacked in the PL, at 1/3 odds. Ouch.
In our humble and often wrong opinion, we think the result won't matter too much - but the performance and manner of defeat will. A clean sweep might be the final straw for Jesse and his attempted American colonization of Yorkshire.
Pool's title hopes are slim this year, but they could be 8 points from the top 4 if things don't go their way this weekend.
Will Spurs Qualify For CL Knockouts?

Tuesday –– 4:00 PM ET
Marseille (+210) vs Spurs (+135)

Spurs were literally centimeters/inches away from qualifying to the Champions League knockouts this week. VAR ruled Kane's last minute winner offside, and now they face a tough test going to Stade Vélodrome to play against a resilient Marseille, in a winner takes all match. A draw is enough for Spurs (8 points), but Marseille need to win to progress (6 points). Sporting (7 points) and Frankfurt (7 points) face off in the other group game.
Our prediction? Spurs sneak by with a draw, with a Harry Kane penalty kick in the last 10 minutes.
Dan & Billy's Locks of the Week
Dan's Picks: I'm going with a few simple bets this weekend. My lock of the week is Crystal Palace to beat Southampton at home at -105. At pretty much even money, that is insane value. I also like Brentford to beat Wolves at home at +115. Brentford are great at home this season, and Wolves just cannot score goals. Lastly (and for some value), I like a Man United Newcastle parlay at +200. LET'S RIDE!
Billy's Picks: Everyone knows I love my Prem and I have 4 picks this week––a couple of them shockingly lining up with the guy above who typically can't afford his weekend drinks because of his missed bets. 3/4 are guaranteed to hit... Newcastle (-120) at home against Villa. Brentford (+120) home against Wolves. Crystal Palace (-105) home against Southampton. Fulham (+135) against Everton. I particularly like Fulham but like I said three of these WILL hit. TRUST ME.

Red Card Of The Week

Antonio Conte was sent off after a late outburst at a disallowed goal in the Champions League versus Sporting... He said he would "like to see this type of decision with a top team," and that he doesn't "see honesty" when it comes to VAR. Is he calling his own club small??
Goal Of The Week

A little Messi love never hurt anybody... The little magician still has it, in spades, and casually knocked this one home en route to a 7-2 drubbing of Maccabi Haifa.
Quiz Answer: Brazil hold the record with 201 goals. Any answer between 191 and 211 counts for a right answer.
