⚽️ Season Defining Weekend in the PL

Will Arsenal Run Away? Will David Moyes or Frank Lampard Get Sacked?

The footie comes at us thick and fast. Has anyone noticed the Bundesliga literally hasn't kicked a ball in THREE MONTHS?! They kick off tomorrow, which concludes the resumption of all major leagues across Europe. There's a lot of heat at the moment, with the Champions League nearing, domestics getting tense, and transfers coming in thick and fast...

Let's get straight into it.

ICYMI (In Case You Missed It):

We spoke about Mitoma last week, and he ABSOLUTELY terrorized the Liverpool defense in a 3-0 thumping at the Amex stadium. Trossard has signed for Arsenal after a fallout with Di Zerbi, but we fully expect Brighton to pluck out another winger from an obscure league to be the next big thing... It's only a matter of time.

El Clásicos only come along so often, and this one didn't disappoint. Barcelona topped Real Madrid 3-1 in the Supercopa Final on Sunday, with goals from Gavi, Pedri, and Lewandowski. This was Xavi's first trophy as a Barcelona manager and will give Barcelona plenty of confidence moving forward in La Liga.

Mykhailo Mudryk is the newest of Chelsea's sparkling new signings. Arsenal chased the promising Ukrainian for a serious while before Chelsea hijacked the deal. There is no denying the kid is talented, but let's not forget that Brentford bid 25 million for him in the Summer, and he just sold for over 75 million (with add-ons bringing the total transfer to 100 million). How will he settle in at Stamford Bridge?

Nice touch: Shaktar's president has said he will give roughly 20 million from the transfer to help Ukraine in the war against Russia.

Napoli hammered Juventus over the weekend, 5-1, and sit NINE points clear atop Serie A. If they march to a title this season, it would be the first since Maradona's men last won the Scudetto in 1990, where he went to 89 night clubs, and scored 16 goals.

Quiz Of The Week

How many goals did Maradona score for Napoli?

(Answer at the end of the letter)

Clash of Giants in the Premier League

Sunday –– 11:30 AM ET : Arsenal (-115) vs Man United (+300)

Wow. A 1st place vs 3rd place in the Premier League clash between Arsenal and Manchester United. Is this the early 2000s? Just like baggy jeans, both of these clubs are BACK.

Arsenal just keep winning, don't they? Taking care of Spurs in the North London Derby last weekend, they square up with Manchester United this weekend. They've risen to every challenge so far this season, and sit 5 points clear (one game in hand) of Man City.

Arsenal look destined to add Brighton's Leandro Trossard to the mix, but will he get into the team? Eddie Nketiah has done enough to fill Gabriel Jesus' shoes, with the Brazilian himself returning perhaps sooner than expected. We love this signing because of its versatility - he can play anywhere across the front line, is PL proven.

Arteta seems to have not only brought the personnel into the club, but likewise the mentality it takes to win and keep winning at this level.

United have been, frankly, outstanding when you consider where they were just a year ago (read this again with a heavy Dutch accent). Ronaldo was removed, Rashford is firing, and Casemiro has been a signing for the ages. On that note, a rash yellow card against Palace will see Casemiro miss this trip to the Emirates at the weekend. What a huge miss it will be...

As good as United has been, expect Arsenal to dominate this game at home. They just have the quality and the steel to play their game against anyone they face at the moment. United will try to use Rashford and co. to hit on the counter, with perhaps another start for Dutch target man Wout Weghorst.

Betting Tip: We are backing Arsenal to win this at home, and think there is plenty of value at -115. Take them now!

The Games to Watch this Weekend...

Friday –– 2:30 PM ET: Leipzig (+270) vs Bayern (-125

Saturday –– 7:30 AM ET: Liverpool (-110) vs Chelsea (+300)

Saturday –– 10:30 AM ET: West Ham (-110) vs Everton (+350)

Goal Of The Week

Willy Gnotto has proved to be one of the revelations of the season and scored this absolute stunner against Cardiff to take Leeds through to the next round of the FA Cup.

Speaking of Leeds, here is another Betting Tip: We LOVE them at home to beat Brentford this weekend. Lock it in!

Red Card Of The Week

We love a red card in a friendly, and Juan Bernat provided that today for us in the PSG vs Riyad All-Star friendly. I guess he was a little angry that a certain Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo were getting all of the attention...

Quiz Answer: 81 goals.
